Sendout vs SubmitX (2026)
Almost every tool in this category stops at submitted. SubmitX is one of the rare ones that doesn't, which makes this the most interesting comparison on our site.

Credit first, because it matters.
SubmitX is one of the only competitors we've found that goes past the submit button. Their Pro tier, by their own pricing page, includes AI Apply filing applications for you plus inbox triage and recruiter replies.
That's our wedge. They're doing a version of it.
Pretending otherwise would be dishonest. You'd find out in five minutes anyway.
Here's what they published on 3 August 2026. Free gets you 2 AI-tailored resumes a month, a job board with match scores and a Chrome extension. 99 a month for unlimited tailored resumes and cover letters.
Pro at 189 a month for AI Apply, capped around 300+ applications a month to 80+ match roles, with the inbox triage and recruiter replies.

Where SubmitX is the better pick
- You want a free tier that lasts. Theirs is ongoing, ours is one week.
- You want a Chrome extension for one-click applying alongside the automation. We don't have one.
- You're an H-1B candidate. They market to that specifically and run an employer side, which is a real advantage if sponsorship is your constraint.
The three real differences
Whose account it comes from.
This is the big one.
Sendout sends from your own email and your own LinkedIn, at human pace. A recruiter sees a message from you. Outreach from a vendor platform reads like a vendor platform. It's your name on the thread either way.
Reaching out before they reply.
Answering an inbox is reactive. It's half the job. Sendout also goes and finds the hiring person for a role and writes to them. That's what turns a submitted application into a conversation.
Price for the same loop. Their Pro tier is 189 a month by their own page. Sendout Pro is 15.99 a week, so roughly 69 a month.
You can pause any week. A job search should end rather than renew, which is why we bill in weeks.
Before you compare tools, check the posting
Whichever one you pick, it can only be as good as the listings you point it at.
Of 551 postings we tracked between 16 July and 1 August 2026, 329 had nobody reachable behind them. That's 59.7 percent. Only 7 carried a signal that somebody was hiring right then.
Our ghost job checker runs that test on any posting link, free and without a signup. The full study is the Ghost Job Index.
What makes Sendout different
Three things. They happen to be the three biggest complaints people have about every other tool in this category.
- It works from your own accounts. Applications and outreach go out from your real email and LinkedIn. Human pace. Your voice. Your reputation carries them, not a vendor's server IP. Nothing sprays.
- It fills real application forms. Sendout completes actual ATS applications on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday. It answers the open-ended questions in your voice. This is a real submission, not a browser autofill you still have to babysit.
- It filters ghost jobs. Roughly one in five postings is stale or a repost nobody reads. Sendout drops those and pursues live openings where a real hiring person can be reached.
When a recruiter replies, the conversation lands in one inbox. You can take over any thread with a click. You show up to the conversations. Sendout does the busywork.
Frequently asked
Does SubmitX really answer recruiters?
Their pricing page lists inbox triage and recruiter replies on the Pro tier. So yes, they claim it. They're one of very few that do. We haven't run their product, so we won't characterise how well it works.
What we can compare honestly is the design. Theirs runs on their platform. Ours runs from your own email and LinkedIn accounts.
Which is cheaper?
For the full apply-and-reply loop, Sendout, by a wide margin at time of writing. Their Pro is 189 a month. 99 a week, about 69 a month, first week free with no card.
Their free tier is more generous than ours if you only want tailored resumes.
Do both filter ghost jobs?
Both claim to. The difference is that we publish the method and the monthly numbers on the Ghost Job Index, including the unflattering ones.
You can also run our checker on any posting link yourself, free. Apply the same test to us that you'd apply to anyone: show the method.
Should I try both?
The free tiers make that cheap to do, so sure. If you do, look at one thing specifically: open the messages each one sends on your behalf and ask whether you'd have sent that, from that address. That's the question that decides whether a recruiter writes back.
See the reply loop working
Sendout finds fresh, real openings and applies for you. Everything goes out from your own email and LinkedIn, every day. You just take the conversations.
