Sendout vs FastApply (2026)
Both send applications for you. They disagree about what the hard part is. FastApply says it's throughput. We say it's what happens after the application lands.
Updated 2026-08-03 · written by the Sendout team, who built the tool this page is about
The honest summary. FastApply is built for volume, and it's cheap.
If you want to fire off a lot of applications across the big aggregators, with a tailored resume attached to each, that's the job it does well.
By their own site, FastApply auto-applies across Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter and what they describe as 20+ job discovery platforms, tailoring a resume and cover letter per application.
There's a swipe interface. You approve each match rather than letting it run blind. They advertise 5 free applications with no card, and pricing from 14 dollars a month.
Sendout does something narrower and deeper. It finds openings within hours, drops the ghost listings, completes the real application on the company's own ATS, then emails the hiring person from your own address and answers the recruiter when they write back.

Where FastApply is the better pick
Fair is fair. Three real cases.
- You want the cheapest possible way to get application count up. They're priced for that and we aren't.
- Your roles live on Indeed and Glassdoor rather than on company ATS boards. Hourly retail, logistics, agency-listed work. That's their turf.
- You want to eyeball every single application before it goes. The swipe flow is genuinely nice for that, and Sendout is built to run without you.
Where the two actually diverge
Volume is a real metric. It's the wrong one alone.
Volume tools optimise applications per hour. That's a real metric and it's the wrong one to optimise alone.
Two things break it. First, a large share of postings have nobody behind them, so faster sending into that pool is faster silence.
Second, the recruiter who does reply on day four goes to whoever answers first, and neither a swipe interface nor a tailored PDF helps you at that moment.
That's why we bill by the week and stop at 4 ATS platforms instead of claiming 20+ boards.
We'd rather send fewer that a person reads.
Before you compare tools, check the posting
Whichever one you pick, it can only be as good as the listings you point it at.
Of 551 postings we tracked between 16 July and 1 August 2026, 329 had nobody reachable behind them. That's 59.7 percent. Only 7 carried a signal that somebody was hiring right then.
Our ghost job checker runs that test on any posting link, free and without a signup. The full study is the Ghost Job Index.
What makes Sendout different
Three things. They happen to be the three biggest complaints people have about every other tool in this category.
- It works from your own accounts. Applications and outreach go out from your real email and LinkedIn. Human pace. Your voice. Your reputation carries them, not a vendor's server IP. Nothing sprays.
- It fills real application forms. Sendout completes actual ATS applications on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday. It answers the open-ended questions in your voice. This is a real submission, not a browser autofill you still have to babysit.
- It filters ghost jobs. Roughly one in five postings is stale or a repost nobody reads. Sendout drops those and pursues live openings where a real hiring person can be reached.
When a recruiter replies, the conversation lands in one inbox. You can take over any thread with a click. You show up to the conversations. Sendout does the busywork.
Frequently asked
Is FastApply free?
They advertise 5 free applications with no card, then paid plans that their own pricing page describes as starting from 14 dollars a month. 99 for Pro.
Check both live pages, because plans change.
Which one sends more applications?
FastApply, comfortably. Their paid tiers advertise hundreds of applications a month across aggregator boards. Sendout deliberately sends fewer, because it drops ghost listings first and completes the full ATS form including the open-ended questions rather than a quick apply.
Does FastApply contact the hiring manager?
Not that we can see anywhere on their site. Their product ends at the application, which is true of nearly everything in this category. Sendout emails the hiring person from your own address and answers the recruiter reply, which is the part we built the company around.
Can I use both?
You could. You'd be paying twice to apply to overlapping roles though, and duplicate applications to one company are a bad look. If your search is mostly aggregator listings, use theirs. If it's mostly company ATS boards and you want the follow-through, use ours.
