Free browser extension that autofills application forms you review and submit yourself. The best free tool in the category, and honestly enough for a lot of people.

Strengths

• Genuinely free for the core autofill, and very widely used.
• Well built and maintained. Y Combinator backed, which shows in the polish.
• No LinkedIn automation risk, because it is not automating LinkedIn.
• Pairs well with anything else, since it only fills fields on pages you open.

Where it stops

• Does not submit. You still find every job, open every application, and press every button.
• Company-specific dropdowns and custom fields are typically left for you.
• Open-ended questions, which are the part that decides whether anyone reads you, are yours to write.
• No job sourcing and no outreach to the hiring person.

2) Teal

Best for: organising a hands-on search and tailoring resumes

Application tracker plus resume tailoring for a search you run yourself. Excellent at structure. Not an automation product and does not claim to be.

Strengths

• A clean, mature workspace for keeping a search organised.
• Usable free tier.

Where it stops

• Records work you already did. It does not do any of it.
• No sourcing, no submitting, no outreach.
• A spreadsheet does most of the tracking for nothing, if tracking is all you need.

Best for: a visual pipeline of a search you run yourself

• Free tier covers a normal-sized search.

Where it stops

• Pure tracking. No sourcing, applying or outreach.
• Same fundamental limit as any tracker: it shows you the work, it does not remove it.

Best for: finding the right roles, especially if you need sponsorship

AI job matching with a well-known H-1B and sponsorship filter. Strong at the half of the problem it solves. It does not apply for you.

Strengths

• Matching quality is a genuine strength and the reason people stay.
• The sponsorship filter is legitimately useful and hard to find elsewhere.
• Generous free tier that covers a lot of a search on its own.
• Clean interface for organising what you have found.

Where it stops

• Finding roles is the easy half. The applying is still entirely yours.
• Does not fill real ATS forms end to end.
• No outreach to the hiring manager.

Best for: fixing your LinkedIn profile before you start applying

LinkedIn profile optimisation, resume tools and a tracker. Useful preparation. Not part of the applying itself.

• Reasonable free tier.

• Lifetime pricing suits a short aggressive burst rather than a monthly subscription.
• Simple to set up and start using in minutes.

Where it stops

• Automates actions inside your logged-in LinkedIn session, which LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits. Account restrictions are a recurring theme in reviews, and the account at risk is yours.
• Easy Apply only, so it never touches the company's own application form where the real questions live.
• No ghost-job filtering, so volume goes into stale and already-filled postings.
• Applications are untailored, which is visible to recruiters receiving them in a burst.

What makes Sendout different

Three things. They happen to be the three biggest complaints people have about every other tool in this category.
